Description
Rare Piper-Heidsieck Brut Rosé Champagne 2013
Audacious, contemporary, elegant, and playful, Rosé Sauvage is unlike any other rosé champagne. This is a rosé champagne made through assemblage. The dynamic colour is obtained through the significantly higher proportion of Pinot Noir vinified as red wine before being added to the blend. 30 months of ageing in the cellars complete the magic.
Brut Rosé Champagne 2013
The 13th vintage of Rare, the 2013 Champagne Millésime Rosé has 9 grams per liter dosage, and most of the Pinot Noir in it comes from Verzy, with the red wine coming from Les Ricey. Pouring a brilliant orange/pink hue, the wine is juicy and fresh with aromas of wild strawberry tart, graham, blood orange, and a hint of cardamom. Medium to full-bodied, its mousse is inviting and adds just a hint of spice character, with notes of grapefruit pith on the finish. A bit more reserved on opening, it will benefit with more time to open and show its best, but it has a very attractive structure. Drink: 2025-2040. (11/17/23)”

The nose contains lots of fresh red fruit, especially Morello cherries. Notions of mandarin and grapefruit combine with hints of cinnamon and figs. The palate is exuberant and warm with aromas of red plums, clementines and blood orange, and just a touch of pistachio
