Tullamore Dew XO Rum Finish or Tullamore D.E.W. XO Caribbean Rum Cask Finish is the Original Triple Blend Irish whiskey with an additional finish in first fill XO Caribbean rum casks for sweet tropical notes. The XO Rum Cask Finish is Tullamore D.E.W.’s triple distilled blend of pot still, malt, and grain Irish whiskeys finished in the finest first fill XO rum casks to deliver sweet tropical flavors. The distillery selected barrels previously used to age Demerara Rum to impart their distinctive tropical fruit and warm spice flavors.

The nose is sweet with gentle fruit notes (think caramelized banana and orange peel). Moderately full-body, rum notes come through more on the finish. Mild spices, some vanilla. A good little bite balances the sweet factor nicely, for a great bridge between the whiskey and rum worlds; almost like a cocktail in itself. A very fun release!
